Terms
These are the terms between wagfield and you, if you own a dog walking field and use this software to take bookings for it. They apply from the moment you create an account.
If you are a customer who booked a walk, these are not your terms — your agreement is with the field owner, not with us. See who you are dealing with.
What you get
- A public page for your field
- Its own address, your hours, prices, photos and rules, listed in our directory and open to search engines while the field is live.
- Bookings and the money
- Slots, holds, payment through your own Stripe account, refunds, cancellations and reschedules — with you as the merchant of record throughout.
- The messages a booking needs
- Confirmations, the morning-of reminder, cancellation notices and the links a customer uses to change a booking, by email — and by text where you have credits.
- Your customer list, exportable
- Names, contact details and booking history, downloadable as a spreadsheet whenever you like, including on the day you leave.
The price
£29 a month for each field that is live. Never metered, never per booking, and never a share of what a booking is worth. A busy summer costs the same as a quiet January.
Setting up is free. You build your page, look at exactly what the public would see, and pay nothing until the day you take the field live. A second field is free to build and starts costing £29 the day it goes live.
Card fees are Stripe's and are paid to Stripe — on a UK card, 1.5% plus 20p at the time of writing. We add nothing to them and receive none of them.
VAT
£29 is what leaves your bank. wagfield is not registered for VAT, so there is no VAT on it and none to reclaim. If that ever changes — registration becomes compulsory above a turnover threshold — you will hear it from us before you see it on a bill, and we have deliberately not committed in advance to how it would be handled.
If the price goes up
It goes up for fields joining after it does. A field already subscribed stays at the price it joined on, for as long as that subscription runs without a break.
Cancel, and that ends: coming back later means coming back at whatever the price is then. The promise is to the people who stayed, which is the only way it can be a promise rather than an option to be exercised later.
Cancelling
Any time, from your own billing settings, without asking us and without a notice period. The subscription runs to the end of the month you have already paid for, and there is no part-month refund.
If a payment stops
A failed payment is not a takedown. While Stripe retries — which recovers most expired cards without you doing anything — your field stays live and bookable, and the admin tells you what is happening.
If it stops for good, or you cancel, your field stops taking new bookings. That is the whole of it. Your page still works and is still indexed; your admin is still fully usable; your existing bookings are untouched; and every link already sent to a customer still lets them view, move, cancel and be refunded. That last one matters most and is deliberate: refunds run on your own Stripe account, and holding a stranger's refund hostage over an unpaid £29 of ours would be wrong.
Pay again and bookings resume. Nothing is deleted for stopping.
Your customers are yours
You are the merchant of record for every booking: the money is taken on your own Stripe account and lands in your bank, and the agreement for the walk is between you and the customer. Their cancellation window and refund rules are the ones you set.
Their details are yours too. We hold them on your behalf and use them only to run your bookings — never to market to them, and never for another field. You can export the lot at any time. When your account closes we delete it within 30 days, and the export stays available for the whole of that time.
What we hold, and who else touches it, is set out in the privacy notice.
What we ask of you
Keep your field page true, honour the bookings you take, and hold whatever insurance and permissions hiring out your land requires. We do not inspect fields, and nothing here makes us responsible for one.
- An unlawful or misdescribed field
- A field you are not entitled to hire out, or one whose page materially misdescribes what a customer is turning up to. Suspended immediately.
- Fraud, or abuse of payments
- Taking money for bookings you have no intention of honouring, or using chargebacks as a business practice. Suspended immediately.
- Misusing customer details
- Using a customer's contact details for anything other than their own bookings with you — including marketing they did not ask for.
- Anything else
- Seven days' written notice, and a chance to put it right first.
What we do not promise
There is no uptime guarantee and no service credits. We keep it running as well as we can, and if it is down you will not be charged extra for the trouble — but promising a number we have no way to honour or measure would be worth nothing to either of us.
Liability
The walk is yours: your field, your gate, your insurance. We are not a party to it and are not liable for what happens on it.
For everything else, our liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — those cannot lawfully be excluded, and we are not trying to.
Changes, and how to reach us
If these terms change in a way that affects you, you will get an email about it before it takes effect, and cancelling is always available if you do not like it. The date at the top changes with the text.
Anything at all: hello@wagfield.co.uk, and a person reads it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
